About the Author :
S S Bhavikatti retired as Principal, Vijayanagar Engineering College, Bellary. Currently, he is AICTE Emeritus Fellow at BVB College of Engineering and Technology at Hubli. Earlier, he served at Karnataka Regional Engineering College (NITK), Suratkhal from 1963 to 2001, and as Head of Civil Engineering Department in SDM College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad. He is M.E. (Structural Engineering) from University of Roorkee, and Ph.D. from IIT, Delhi, which he did under its Quality Improvement Programme. A prolific writer, his many books include Structural Optimisation Using Sequential Linear Programming, and Structural Analysis Volumes 1 and 2 published by Vikas.
